Professional Learning and Networking

We can be found in outdoor settings within Derby City, Derbyshire and the National Forest.

Our passion for nature connection is supported by extensive training and underpinned by a wealth of evidence from the University of Derby and international organisations.

We support people who are experiencing mental health difficulties, alongside sharing the wellbeing benefits of the natural world with people at all stages at life.

Wellness Without Walls

Our Vision is to support calm and nature connection from the beginning of life.

Our Mission is to remove barriers to wellbeing through connection to nature.

This social enterprise began as 'Wellbeing at Whistlewood' and we are now part of a community of like-minded 'green' wellbeing professionals and ethical enterprises.

Anne now leads our wellbeing activities at venues that include Whistlewood Common, Hannah Fields Community Gardens, local parks and festivals including Timber Festival in the National Forest.

We re-developed our services and rebranded in August 2022 in response to:

  • the impact of Covid 19 on community mental health

  • expansion of our 'Green Connections' project, in partnership with Derbyshire Mind

  • our participation in the UK Government's  GreenSPring 'test and learn' initiative for green social prescribing

'"Green Connections" gave me an opportunity to connect with my childhood. It has been a wonderful experience and I feel very grateful for today'

'We often forget that we are nature. Nature's not something separate from us so when we say we have lost our connection to nature,

we have lost our connection to ourselves'
